The UWRF-Center for Economic Research (CER) encourages research through projects that promote economic development including: publishing the St. Croix Valley Dashboard; regional economic impact studies; providing a database of regional economic data; publishing a semiannual regional economic analysis; and providing consulting services to St. Croix Valley communities.
UWRF-CER (in partnership with the St. Croix EDC) publishes the monthly St. Croix Valley Economic Dashboard. It is a compilation of statistical information presented in easy-to-read tables and graphs for the St. Croix Valley region including: Dunn, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties in Wisconsin and Chisago, Ramsey and Washington counties in Minnesota .

The St. Croix County Workforce Profile is compiled by Scott Hodek, labor economist for the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD), Office of Economic Advisors (OEA). The profile contains historical population estimates, labor force data (unemployment rates, labor force participation, and payroll), notable industries and employers, jobs and wages, and per capita income for St. Croix County.
